Professor’s Medal

The Professor’s Medal was established in 2022 by Professor Andy Toms, and looks to reward the extracurricular activity of a trainee covering the calendar year. Applications from all trainees will be considered and activities can be wide spread, from charitable work to sporting achievement.

For 2024, the award will be decided as follows:

1. Activity between January and December 2023 will be eligible.

2. A maximum one-page submission will be assessed by the panel (consisting of Mr Guyver and Prof Toms), detailing the nature of the activity and it's impact. 

3. Any activity undertaken by the trainee can be submitted and considered for it's impact on the rotation or wider community. We encourage trainees to think about their roles outside of training and medicine, and celebrate the hard work they put into all aspects of life.
